Sewer Maintenance Personnel

The University Area Joint Authority, located in State College, PA, is accepting resumes for the position of the sewer maintenance person. This is a full-time field position responsible for helping to maintain and install sanitary sewer lines. The position also requires assisting with emergency and preventative repairs on existing lines and equipment as well as inflow and infiltration inspection and lift station maintenance. Residency is not required, however, successful candidates much live within a reasonable distance to respond to emergencies. Applicants must obtain and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker and air brake endorsements. Applicants must achieve a PA DEP, Class E, Wastewater System Operations certification within two (2) years from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior operation and heavy equipment including, but not limited to, track loaders, track hoes, skid steers and jackhammers.

Electrical experience (training) and use of pipe lasers.

Successful candidates must complete a drug screen and background check.
